Binary codes and partial permutation decoding sets from the odd graphs

100%
EN
For k ≥ 1, the odd graph denoted by O(k), is the graph with the vertex-set Ω{k}, the set of all k-subsets of Ω = {1, 2, …, 2k +1}, and any two of its vertices u and v constitute an edge [u, v] if and only if u ∩ v = /0. In this paper the binary code generated by the adjacency matrix of O(k) is studied. The automorphism group of the code is determined, and by identifying a suitable information set, a 2-PD-set of the order of k 4 is determined. Lastly, the relationship between the dual code from O(k) and the code from its graph-theoretical complement $\overline {O(k)} $, is investigated.

The automorphism groups of foliations with transverse linear connection

88%
EN
The category of foliations is considered. In this category morphisms are differentiable maps sending leaves of one foliation into leaves of the other foliation. We prove that the automorphism group of a foliation with transverse linear connection is an infinite-dimensional Lie group modeled on LF-spaces. This result extends the corresponding result of Macias-Virgós and Sanmartín Carbón for Riemannian foliations. In particular, our result is valid for Lorentzian and pseudo-Riemannian foliations.

Codes and designs from triangular graphs and their line graphs

75%
EN
For any prime p, we consider p-ary linear codes obtained from the span over $\mathbb{F}_p $ p of rows of incidence matrices of triangular graphs, differences of the rows and adjacency matrices of line graphs of triangular graphs. We determine parameters of the codes, minimum words and automorphism groups. We also show that the codes can be used for full permutation decoding.

Hermann and Thurston proved that the group of diffeomorphisms with compact support of a smooth manifold M which are isotopic to the identity is a perfect group. We consider the case where M has a geometric structure. In this paper we shall survey on the recent results of the first homology of the diffeomorphism groups which preserve a smooth G-action or a foliated structure on M. We also work in Lipschitz category.

In this paper, the automorphism groups of relatively minimal rational elliptic surfaces with section which have constant J-maps are classified. The ground field is ℂ. The automorphism group of such a surface β: B → ℙ1, denoted by Au t(B), consists of all biholomorphic maps on the complex manifold B. The group Au t(B) is isomorphic to the semi-direct product MW(B) ⋊ Aut σ (B) of the Mordell-Weil groupMW(B) (the group of sections of B), and the subgroup Aut σ (B) of the automorphisms preserving a fixed section σ of B which is called the zero section on B. The Mordell-Weil group MW(B) is determined by the configuration of singular fibers on the elliptic surface B due to Oguiso and Shioda [9]. In this work, the subgroup Aut σ (B) is determined with respect to the configuration of singular fibers of B. Together with a previous paper [4] where the case with non-constant J-maps was considered, this completes the classification of automorphism groups of relatively minimal rational elliptic surfaces with section.

A compact Riemann surface X of genus g≥2 which admits a cyclic group of automorphisms C q of prime order q such that X/C q has genus 0 is called a cyclic q-gonal surface. If a q-gonal surface X is also p-gonal for some prime p≠q, then X is called a multiple prime surface. In this paper, we classify all multiple prime surfaces. A consequence of this classification is a proof of the fact that a cyclic q-gonal surface can be cyclic p-gonal for at most one other prime p.
