Zero-one completely positive matrices and the A(R, S) classes

A matrix of the form A = BBT where B is nonnegative is called completely positive (CP). Berman and Xu (2005) investigated a subclass of CP-matrices, called f0, 1g-completely positive matrices. We introduce a related concept and show connections between the two notions. An important relation to the so-called cut cone is established. Some results are shown for f0, 1g-completely positive matrices with given graphs, and for {0,1}-completely positive matrices constructed from the classes of (0, 1)-matrices with fixed row and column sums.

Extensions of convex functionals on convex cones

We prove that under some topological assumptions (e.g. if M has nonempty interior in X), a convex cone M in a linear topological space X is a linear subspace if and only if each convex functional on M has a convex extension on the whole space X.

In this paper isotone functions and their dual cones are studied. Special attention is devoted to functions preserving cone preorders. This isotonicity is characterized by integral inequalities. The result yields some generators of dual cones of isotone functions. As an application a generalization of Steffensen Inequality is given.
