In this paper we study the periodic-Neumann boundary value problem for a class of nonlinear parabolic equations. We prove a new uniqueness result and study the structure of the set of solutions when there exist more than one solution. The ideas are applied to a Neumann problem for an elliptic equation.

The purpose of this paper is to study the periodic boundary value problem -u''(t) = f(t,u(t),u'(t)), u(0) = u(2π), u'(0) = u'(2π) when f satisfies the Carathéodory conditions. We show that a generalized upper and lower solution method is still valid, and develop a monotone iterative technique for finding minimal and maximal solutions.
We investigate the existence of solutions to first order initial value problems for differential inclusions subject to impulsive effects. We shall rely on a fixed point theorem for condensing maps to prove our results.
