In this paper, we study a kind of fractional differential system with impulsive effect and find the formula of general solution for the impulsive fractional-order system by analysis of the limit case (as impulse tends to zero). The obtained result shows that the deviation caused by impulses for fractional-order system is undetermined. An example is also provided to illustrate the result.

This paper is devoted to the study of fractional differential equations with Riemann-Liouville fractional derivatives and infinite delay in Banach spaces. The weighted delay is developed to deal with the case of non-zero initial value, which leads to the unboundedness of the solutions. Existence and uniqueness results are obtained based on the theory of measure of non-compactness, Schaude’s and Banach’s fixed point theorems. As auxiliary results, a fractional Gronwall type inequality is proved, and the comparison property of fractional integral is discussed.

In the first part, we investigate the singular BVP $$\tfrac{d} {{dt}}^c D^\alpha u + (a/t)^c D^\alpha u = \mathcal{H}u$$, u(0) = A, u(1) = B, c D α u(t)|t=0 = 0, where $$\mathcal{H}$$ is a continuous operator, α ∈ (0, 1) and a < 0. Here, c D denotes the Caputo fractional derivative. The existence result is proved by the Leray-Schauder nonlinear alternative. The second part establishes the relations between solutions of the sequence of problems $$\tfrac{d} {{dt}}^c D^{\alpha _n } u + (a/t)^c D^{\alpha _n } u = f(t,u,^c D^{\beta _n } u)$$, u(0) = A, u(1) = B, $$\left. {^c D^{\alpha _n } u(t)} \right|_{t = 0} = 0$$ where a < 0, 0 < β n ≤ α n < 1, limn→∞ β n = 1, and solutions of u″+(a/t)u′ = f(t, u, u′) satisfying the boundary conditions u(0) = A, u(1) = B, u′(0) = 0.

We develop the existence theory for sequential fractional differential equations involving Liouville-Caputo fractional derivative equipped with anti-periodic type (non-separated) and nonlocal integral boundary conditions. Several existence criteria depending on the nonlinearity involved in the problems are presented by means of a variety of tools of the fixed point theory. The applicability of the results is shown with the aid of examples. Our results are not only new in the given configuration but also yield some new special cases for specific choices of parameters involved in the problems.

In this paper, we investigate oscillation results for the solutions of impulsive conformable fractional differential equations of the form tkDαpttkDαxt+rtxt+qtxt=0,t≥t0,t≠tk,xtk+=akx(tk−),tkDαxtk+=bktk−1Dαx(tk−),k=1,2,…. $$\left\{ \begin{array}{l} {t_k}{D^\alpha }\left( {p\left( t \right)\left[ {{t_k}{D^\alpha }x\left( t \right) + r\left( t \right)x\left( t \right)} \right]} \right) + q\left( t \right)x\left( t \right) = 0,\quad t \ge {t_0},\;t \ne {t_k},\\ x\left( {t_k^ + } \right) = {a_k}x(t_k^ - ),\quad {t_k}{D^\alpha }x\left( {t_k^ + } \right) = {b_{k\;{t_{k - 1}}}}{D^\alpha }x(t_k^ - ),\quad \;k = 1,2, \ldots. \end{array} \right.$$ Some new oscillation results are obtained by using the equivalence transformation and the associated Riccati techniques.

We investigate the fractional differential equation u″ + A c D α u = f(t, u, c D μ u, u′) subject to the boundary conditions u′(0) = 0, u(T)+au′(T) = 0. Here α ∈ (1, 2), µ ∈ (0, 1), f is a Carathéodory function and c D is the Caputo fractional derivative. Existence and uniqueness results for the problem are given. The existence results are proved by the nonlinear Leray-Schauder alternative. We discuss the existence of positive and negative solutions to the problem and properties of their derivatives.

Two-term semi-linear and two-term nonlinear fractional differential equations (FDEs) with sequential Caputo derivatives are considered. A unique continuous solution is derived using the equivalent norms/metrics method and the Banach theorem on a fixed point. Both, the unique general solution connected to the stationary function of the highest order derivative and the unique particular solution generated by the initial value problem, are explicitly constructed and proven to exist in an arbitrary interval, provided the nonlinear terms fulfil the corresponding Lipschitz condition. The existence-uniqueness results are given for an arbitrary order of the FDE and an arbitrary partition of orders between the components of sequential derivatives.

In this paper, we investigate the existence of positive solutions for Hadamard type fractional differential system with coupled nonlocal fractional integral boundary conditions on an infinite domain. Our analysis relies on Guo-Krasnoselskii’s and Leggett-Williams fixed point theorems. The obtained results are well illustrated with the aid of examples.
