Migrations are one of the main parts of demographic research and also valuable source of knowledge about society. The article analyzes process of permanent migration in the agglomeration of Bielsko-Biała – one of the main elements of the settlement system in Silesia province. In article was used statistical data from Central Statistical Office in Warsaw. The aim of this article is to identify the changes in migration processes and their impact on the demographic development of the region. Authors presents also the main directions and the scale of population migration. The delimitation of the area for this study was taken the same as R. Krzysztofik (2008), and includes the town of Bielsko-Biala and the surrounding district of Bielsko.
