On a scheme for subjective classifications in the case of variable sample probabilities

A system of axioms is given for the description of a choice situation with nonconstant subjective probabilities. It is based on the possibility of linearly ordering all alternatives by comparing them with a series of "standard'' alternatives which are ordered by preference.MR0518605
